Family photo av några av mina korknissar... those are not ready, some of them will get a little bell on the hood... the picture is from a couple days ago.. and not all of them are in the pic.
But these ones are finished now .. and have started to move to their new homes... some friends at work have got theirs today...
Ove suggested keeping them all because they're so cute and look so nice there... but I'm already making more... shall have a korknissegäng...

..not enough hearts...

No matter how much xmas stuff you got.. you have never enough hearts... I made these ones a couple days ago... I bought a couple wooden hearts at Panduro and tried to "cheer" them up a bit... and grabbed red ribbon bands and feathers and "cristals" and wire and bells and some red beads... ...not that happy with the feathered one but Ove says it's cute and it shouldn't be rejected, so I kept it and is hanging in the kitchen.. the other wooden heart got some ribbon around it and a bell... but it still lacks charm..

I like the twisted wire hearts... very simple and easy to make... just wire, read beads, a huge bell and something to hang down there... tried with feathers here or there but I didn't like the result... you can still see some feather rests somewhere...
The ruby cristals... are actually plastic and were just plain colorless before...

Tomtenissar eller korknissar,

These tomtenissar are my little xmas present this year. We gather with the family for xmas and only children get presentes, the adults play the Julklappsspel. Every adult buys 3 presents of a predeterminated value.. and the dices decide...

I saw Manne's korknissar in Ravelry and I loved them.. this is my crochet version.
I started knitting their clothes... but got bored... that's why some have knitted pants and a few have knitted hats... every korknisse is unique, as it should be. They're not finished yet, have yet to attach a bell or a little tofs to the hats...
So this year the family and some at work will get a couple of smiling korknissar... xmas corkgnomes?

hearts and more hearts...

My mom is very active, she meets almost every month for lunch or tea with lots of "girls", different groups. There's this of schoolmate girls, this other are former work colleage girls, then her nursing school class girls.. and so on.. sometimes with hubbies...


And every december she's hosting several lunches or teas at home. She usually gives out some little memento. I promised her I'll send her something this year...

So I made this crochet brooches, 85 of them and a bigger one for her... sent them by post.




I also made her a couple garlands, also red hearts... The basic heart in this link is the same, I made the finishing border in this backwards stitch for the brooches and just plain on the garland.. and I interconnected the garland a bit different, so the hearts can hang vertically too







and some candle rings, ljusmanschetter.

this is my newest heart for this xmas, my own design, and I'm still writting down the pattern instructions... must do, or it will be hard to do another one...
not sure if it'll hang from my tree or if I'll give it away...
